The St. Elmo Condominium will be following guidance from the Institution, Chautauqua County, New York State, and the Federal Government.  Useful web links are below.  We expect anyone to be cognizant of and follow official guidelines if they visit or reside at the St. Elmo.

ST. ELMO COVID GUIDANCE

St. Elmo COVID guidance as of 10 February 2022

NYS Governor Hochul has announced the masking requirement for businesses has been lifted as of 10 February.  The masking remains optional for businesses.  The press release can be found at this site – https://www.governor.ny.gov/news/governor-hochul-announces-winter-toolkit-new-phase-covid-response-keep-new-york-safe-open-and.

Given the present extremely low occupancy of the St. Elmo, and the minimal visitor traffic, the Emergency Steering Committee has decided to remove the masking mandate for public spaces in the St. Elmo and to make masking optional immediately.

We remind visitors that other individuals present may have health issues that make them more vulnerable to COVID.  We ask that you respect their increased level of caution by maintaining social distancing or even masking should they request that you do so.

The ESC will continue to monitor state, county and Institution guidance and provide additional cautions as necessary.  Current St. Elmo COVID guidance can always be found by clicking the Corona Virus Updates button on the front page of the Association website, https://www.stelmochq.com.

            A sign is posted at the elevators stating “We request that elevator users respect individual preferences to not share elevator space.  Please do not enter unless invited.”

            The Parlor, Porch, and Patio may be used by individual family groups of owners and renters.  Those areas will not be available for reservation or use by larger outside groups.  Scheduled Owner gatherings such as Board Meetings and Social events may be held in the Parlor.

            Hand sanitizer will continue to be available at St. Elmo entries, and “high touch” surfaces will continue to be wiped down for sanitizing purposes.
